  • Recently we asked our readers over at Spirit 105.3 about how to best keep cut flowers fresh! We were given lots of ideas and thought that we would share some of them here with you!

  • It's a hard line to walk, isn't it mommas? The line between teaching responsibility and giving in a little to keep them little. I am constantly asking myself if I'm doing the right thing by helping him with his shoes on the occasion that he asks me, even when I know he knows how. By assisting with the little things that I know he's got, but asks me sometimes anyways.

  • I can remember being an elementary-aged child and being teased in school. The words used behind my back and to my face to describe me sank deep into my heart and I began to believe them about myself. Even now, as a woman in my mid-twenties, I still find myself struggling in this way. • These days, it seems like it's easy to forget who we are. In the midst of the busy that is raising little people and doing the day-to-day feeding and training and loving, or working long days apart, it's not hard to lose ourselves. We can go through our day without once connecting, without once taking a moment to turn towards each other and remember why we’re doing this together in the first place.

  • So, there I found myself, in my giant fluffy sherpa-bear pajamas, building a fort. And mind you, this isn't the normal, chairs-and-sheets kind of fort. For Christmas this year, my hubby and I found these fort building kits that are an assortment of poles and balls which when thrown together magically (AKA my husband acting as the master builder) create an awesome fort that you just throw a sheet over. He thinks these are God’s gift to parents, with unlimited things you can build and unending possibilities for fun.
