I have never been a meal planner. I have attempted it and it is never something I was good at nor something I would follow through with (probably because of the whole not being good at it). I give myself a mental pat on the back each night when I pack my kids lunches for the next day or when I know one day ahead of time what will be for dinner the next evening.
But since beginning the 30/10 Weight Loss for Life program in January 2018, I have done something I never thought I would do.
I have become a meal planner.
Now, don’t get too blown away. It is not to any sort of extreme that would be seen as uber impressive in some people’s eyes. But in my eyes considering where I began and where I am now, yeah, it’s pretty impressive.
Here’s why I’ve turned this new leaf:
I never felt confident when it came to meal planning. I didn’t know what to make or how to make it. 30/10 honestly helped me to change that. The coaches provide so many ideas and tips that it started to build that confidence I needed. Each month, I even get a booklet of step by step recipes! Each Sunday, I look over all the tools I have been provided with and it helps me as I enter the chaos of the week ahead.
I have learned so much valuable information about food, nutrition and why it matters what I am putting into my body. I have seen and felt the results of it. My regular check-ins are a part of the free lifetime maintenance program. The check-ins have been a huge motivator of this new found meal planner side of me I never knew I had! I know the more I stick to the tools, the more I meal plan, the more I continue living the 30/10 life, the better I will feel.
I continue to be so happy that I took the leap to check out 30/10 Weight Loss for Life.
