April feels like God cracking open the sky just a little wider, letting in more light, more color, more hope. The flowers start stretching, the birds start singing again, and honestly… so do we. Even if you’re re-cleaning the same thing you cleaned not even 24 hours ago, planning out another week of meals, or wondering how the laundry multiplied overnight, you’re here. You’re showing up. And God sees every bit of it.

Craft: “Rainy Day Sunshine Jars”
A reminder that even when life feels cloudy, God’s light still shines through.

Micha Klootwijk
You’ll Need
- A clean glass jar
- Tissue paper in your favorite colors
- Mod Podge or glue
- Scissors
- LED tea light
- Optional: ribbon, stickers, or a little tag with a Bible verse
How to Make It
- Tear or cut tissue paper into small pieces — raindrops, clouds, sunshine rays.
- Brush glue on the outside of the jar and layer the tissue pieces.
- Create a bright yellow sun on one side.
- Let it dry, then place the LED tea light inside.
- Add a ribbon or a tag with a verse like Psalm 27:1 — “The Lord is my light and my salvation.”
When it glows at night, it’s a sweet reminder: Even on rainy days, God’s light is still shining for you.

A Faith-Filled Word for Your Heart
Mama, God sees you. He sees the way you pour out love in a hundred small ways no one notices. He sees your tired moments, your whispered prayers, your deep breaths when the day feels long.
You don’t have to bloom perfectly. You just have to stay rooted. God will handle the growing.
“Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.” — Isaiah 40:31
