Father’s Day Gift Basket: Thoughtful Ideas to Make Dad Feel Special

How about switching things up and giving Dad a gift basket, full of his favorite things for Father’s Day this year? Is your go to for Father’s Day gifts always ties, key chains, socks and mugs? That’s ok. Just add them to the gift basket, along with Dad’s favorite snacks, drink, fruit and whatever else you can think of.

Putting together a Father’s Day gift basket will really be a test of how well you know your husband/dad/ brother. Can you think of some of his favorite things and arrange them beautifully into a basket? Bonus points for using a basket that is his favorite color and can be repurposed either to keep his toiletries in the bathroom or organize his socks in the sock drawer. I was aiming for bathroom toiletries, and I think I did pretty well.

Basket
Dad’s favorite things
Cellophane bag for gift basket
String / Ribbon

Directions:

Step 1:

Figure out some of Dad’s favorite things that you would like to include in the gift basket. Involve the children by asking them what they think Dad, Uncle or GrandPa’s favorite things are.

Here are some ideas:

• Favorite fruit
• Favorite trail mix
• Favorite cookies
• Favorite drink
• Favorite Notebook
• Favorite cheese
• Favorite chips
• Favorite beef jerky

Step 2: Decide on the kind of gift basket you would like to get, depending on the items you will be placing in it. Some points to consider when deciding on this are:

• Dad’s favorite color
• How the basket will be repurposed after (E.g. will he use it to store his bbq equipment or socks)
• The size of items it will hold

Step 3: Assemble.

This will involve arranging and re arranging the items in your basket until you are satisfied with how it looks. Once you have the most appealing arrangement, in your opinion, wrap the basket up on the large cellophane bag and tie it up at the top with string or ribbon.
