I enjoyed making this tulip garland more than I thought I would. It was fun and relaxing. I took my supplies to the park and enjoyed a relaxing sunny spring afternoon of crafting while the children played. They loved the finished product so much and could not wait to make some tulip garlands of their own. What’s not to love? It made the cutest spring décor that is still beautifully displayed on our porch.
What you need:
- Cardstock (I used pink and green)
- Twine, Rope or String
- Stapler
- Scissors
- Single hole puncher
Directions:
Use the scissors to cut the cardstock into strips lengthwise.

Rachel Matembe
Cut a few of these strips into half.

Rachel Matembe
Staple one short green strip of cardstock to the middle of a long pink one.
Bend the green one in half, holding it in place with one hand, attach two bended half green strips to each side and staple all together to make the stems and leaves.

Rachel Matembe
Fold the long pink strip over the top into the shape of a tulip bud and hold it there with your fingers.
Bend a shorter pink strip in half and hold it in the middle of the folded longer pink stip. Staple these in place as shown in the photo.

Rachel Matembe
Using a single hole puncher, punch a hole at the top of each of the three tulip petals.

Rachel Matembe
String the twine through these holes.

Rachel Matembe
Repeat steps 3 to 8 for as many tulips as you would like to make.

Rachel Matembe
Hang your beautiful spring flower garland and enjoy!
