These last few days are something I never imagined. One day I am running on our normal schedule and the next I find myself home indefinitely, scrambling at the grocery store to find essentials, a full-time teacher, and trying to help my kids cope with the news. This just is a lot to take on and frankly something I never imagined.
I know I’m not alone in this but this probably leaves you and your kids feeling a bit anxious as you navigate day-to-day. When there’s lots of uncertainty and things changing rapidly anxiety can really creep in.
This is where it’s important to recognize that your feelings are for a purpose. Maybe to protect you, guide you, or just help you cope in this difficult situation. So allow yourself to step into it and honor your feelings because at this time anxiety is a very real and valid emotion. But how do you move on and support yourself to move forward?
This is where we have tools to help ease these sometimes heavy emotions like anxiety. God’s creation of straight-from-the-plant essential oils can be a very powerful tool in calming our hearts and minds. Think about when you smell a fresh lavender plant, or the beautiful smell of an orange. How did that make you feel? It brings a calm sense to your mind and takes your focus off your feelings….right?
