I discovered LiveMom from attending her spring Rock + Read event at the Domain. I was looking for family oriented SXSW activities and stumbled up this amazing annual event. Her blog is definitely one to check on a consistent basis so you don’t miss a beat.
The name alone should grab your attention. When it comes to looking for things for my family to do, free is always best. Many local businesses know about this fantastic little blog and submit their upcoming events to be listed in the calendar. I catch myself glancing over it most weekends to find out what is happening around our neck of the woods. When it’s free, you’ve basically got nothing to lose!
Do512 Family is much like Free Fun in Austin except not all of the events listed are free. If you’re open to paying for just the right fit, this is definitely another community calendar worth browsing over. I love being signed up for their newsletter. This local radio station always has family in mind. The great thing is that all events listed are in family friendly locations and will not be controversial in any way. This is definitely another great resource to keep in mind.
