Disney has announced that they’re launching a streaming service of their own in 2019. Even better, every movie that’s locked away in “The Disney Vault” will be coming out and available to you at the click of a button.
That’s right. Disney’s ENTIRE COLLECTION will be available whenever you want it. The service will be called Disney+, and will include movies, TV shows, and other content. It will feature both Pixar and Disney-branded films and will also house popular franchises like Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic.
Now for the bad news. To prepare for this launch, they’re ending ties with Netflix, so content that is currently available there will no longer be streamed on the service by the end of the year. There are still lots of details we don’t have, but expect to learn more (like exactly when it will be available and how much it will cost) on or after April 11th. Regardless, it’s an exciting move for Disney fans that want more of their content more widely available.
