There’s something about a quiet morning before the house wakes up—the soft hum of the coffee maker, the sun barely peeking through the blinds, and that rare moment where the world feels still. As moms, those moments can be fleeting, but they’re also the ones that refill us the most.
And honestly, nothing pairs better with a slow morning than the smell of cinnamon drifting through the kitchen. If anything will wake your family up it’s the aroma of cinnamon rolls!
But here’s the thing: you don’t need to block off half a day for a complicated dough to make something special. Sometimes the coziest memories come from the simplest recipes.
So today, we’re sharing a no-fuss, mom-friendly cinnamon roll recipe that delivers all the warm, gooey goodness without the stress.
Easy, Cozy Cinnamon Rolls (No Yeast, No Stress)
These rolls come together quickly—perfect for a weekend treat, a snow day surprise, or a “we all need a win today” kind of morning.
Ingredients
For the dough:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¾ cup milk
- ¼ cup melted butter or neutral oil
For the filling:
- 4 tablespoons softened butter
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
For the glaze:
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Make the dough
In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add the milk and melted butter, stirring until a soft dough forms. If it’s a little sticky, sprinkle in a bit more flour.
2. Roll it out
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and roll it into a rectangle—no need for perfection here.
3. Add the filling
Spread the softened butter across the dough. Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle generously over the top.
4. Roll and slice
Roll the dough into a log and slice into 8–10 pieces. Place them in a greased 9×13 baking dish.
5. Bake
Bake at 375°F for 18–22 minutes, until the tops are lightly golden and your kitchen smells like heaven.
6. Glaze
Whisk together the glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm rolls.
While you’re waiting on them to bake, soak in some verses to refresh, refuel and encourage your soul:
Psalm 46:5 – “God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.” This one feels especially fitting for moms who carry so much before the sun even rises.
Isaiah 40:31 – “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles…”
Proverbs 31:25 – “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.”
Matthew 11:28 – “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Mornings can be chaotic—but there’s beauty in the mess, too. These cinnamon rolls can be a reminder that small, sweet moments can create a lovely morning surprise for your family.
